Echinacea Tomato Soup
A few year ago we started a specialist nursery for perennials at the edge of the village of Gennep. The not so common plants are mainly sold at flowershows.
We offer a wide choice of rare and unusual collections of perennials. We don't have plants that last only one year but we do have exceptionally beautiful plants which you will enjoy for many years. Plants that are a reflection of the seasons, that develop during the course of years, that fill your garden, and that will surprise you enormously. We do not have much affinity with small delicate plants that need to be treated carefully. The smaller plants in our assortment are specifically selected for their ground covering capabilities. However most of our plants are larger and generally speaking are 'from knee to head'.
We grow a wide range of hardy garden plants and are developing extensive collections of hardy perrennials, many rare and unusual, or many less known cultivars of traditional favourites. Every year we add new varieties and on this site you will find the varieties we present have in stock.
In case you find on our site a variety you especially like and you want to be sure that I carry that special variety with me to one of the markets where I will be selling, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail. Also in case you are searching for a special variety that you cannot find on our site, please let me know. I work closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and Belgium and I might be able to help you find that special plant that you have been searching for.
My passion in perennials is with the Kniphofia or Red-hot poker. Already as a child I was fascinated by those yellow red flowers which seemed to shoot up from the ground. During the last few years our collection of kniphofias has grown significantly and we now have a wide variety of colours and sizes.
Kniphofia is a special plant that deserves much wider attention than it presently receives. They fit very well in all kinds of gardens, from the classic to the modern garden and from the very small to the very large gardens. Kniphofia does not like very wet soil and temperatures far below freezing point. Hardiness can seem unpredictable but is not simply a matter of winter temperature. Cool wet winters, poor drainage, and alternate freezing and thawing are more damaging than a consistently dryer, colder period. But with some care you will enjoy the Kniphofia for many years.
Our collection of Kniphofia presently includes more than eighty cultivars. Each year we sell a different assortment of about 20 varieties. In case you are searching for a special cultivar, please let us know and we might be able to assist you.

As mentioned earlier, you can buy our plants at markets and exhibitions and you can find a list of markets where we will be selling on our site. Our nursery is not yet ready for direct sales to customers. However, it is possible to make your order online and then make an appointment for collection of the plants or we can send them by mail.
The stock list provides an up-to-date overview of all the varieties we have in stock at the moment or in the near future. Prices are not included in the list as sizes of plants and therefore prices change during the growing season. Please let us know through e-mail which plants you are interested in and we will send you information about the current price and availability.
Please inform us by e-mail about plants you would like to have.
We hope that you will appreciate the access you have to our special varieties by ordering through mail.
